Blockchain Anchoring
Optionally anchor workflow proof records to public blockchain networks for additional verification.
Cascades can optionally anchor proof records to public blockchain networks for organizations that want an additional layer of verification.
This is separate from Rekor and is not required for normal workflow execution.
Most teams use execution proofs and immutable snapshots without blockchain anchoring.
Blockchain anchoring is typically used by organizations that need stronger external verification for high-assurance workflows.
Why teams use blockchain anchoring
Anchoring helps create a public verification reference for workflow proofs.
This can be useful for:
- compliance-heavy workflows
- regulated operations
- third-party audits
- external verification requirements
- high-assurance operational workflows
Rather than relying only on internal systems, teams can reference public blockchain records as an additional verification layer.
How it works
After a workflow completes:
Workflow execution
→ Proof generation
→ Payload hash creation
→ Optional blockchain anchor
→ Public transaction record
